Why are You at the Gym with the Flu.

Just as we need parents to keep their children with sickness and the flu at home…we need you to stay out of the gym. It might be necessary for gym staff to pay a bit of extra attention to the state of the members. If they notice there are people walking around clearly sick they could possibly be reminded to be courteous by not putting at risk of catching what they have. All of this could be avoided if gym members would be mindful of others and stay home with the flu.

Adjust with Your Body.

Adjustments are not always easy, nor welcomed. However, we must do what is necessary to take the best care of our body we can. It is important to adjust in the gym as your body or circumstances dictate. It may be hard to give up a food you love, but the beauty of food is there is so much more to explore. Making the necessary adjustments for your body can cause you to be happier, and have a better quality of life.

Too Much of a Good Thing.

You want to do all you can to take your time and balance this area of your life. it is not beneficial to do too much of anything no matter how good that thing may be. From drinking water, to sleeping, to working out you want everything to have a good healthy balance. This will benefit every area of your life.

Leave the Fight Outside the Gym.

You never know whose mental health you are sparing by handing your issues outside of the workout space. If someone makes your workout space feel toxic due to loud aggressive conversations, uncomfortable confrontations, or violent behavior please report it. You deserve to have a workout space that is fair to, and safe for, you. Remember though we focus on the physical aspect of the fitness journey in the gym…there is a mental component that is just as important. We want to work on health holistically.

The Workout Groups Can be Motivating.

On days when the workout is particularly difficult, and you are not feeling your best about self they can help you remember why you are awesome and must keep going. If your personality doesn’t work well in groups continue to do what will be best for you mentally, and physically to reach your fitness goals. However, if you are able to incorporate group workout you if can be a great asset.

Lets be Real About Weight Loss.

As you prepare to embark upon weight loss to better your health, and value of life remember to be real with yourself. Try not to get angry when the scale doesn’t move and your diet has been horrible, you aren’t getting enough activity, or you just started on this path. Patience and consistency will render you results. Health and fitness is a way of life not a diet or insane short term workout routine.

Working Out with my Spouse Use to be Hard.

On days you are able to consume as much stand alone water the fruit will assist you in getting the water you need, and the electrolytes will be there. The key to fighting dehydration isn’t just I’m drinking water. You must consider how much water, what kind of water, and healthy food and snacks.
