Adjust with Your Body.

Adjustments are not always easy, nor welcomed. However, we must do what is necessary to take the best care of our body we can. It is important to adjust in the gym as your body or circumstances dictate. It may be hard to give up a food you love, but the beauty of food is there is so much more to explore. Making the necessary adjustments for your body can cause you to be happier, and have a better quality of life.

Too Much of a Good Thing.

You want to do all you can to take your time and balance this area of your life. it is not beneficial to do too much of anything no matter how good that thing may be. From drinking water, to sleeping, to working out you want everything to have a good healthy balance. This will benefit every area of your life.

Don’t Abuse the Laxatives.

This can become a long-term problem, like an eating disorder, if it’s something you do on a continual basis. It’s best not to even start using laxatives for any purpose but relieving constipation. You’d rather have some intense workouts, plenty of fruit & vegetables, and water to get yourself back on track. Weight loss is only positive when it’s obtained in a healthy fashion.

Keep Up the Fit Work.

Create your vision board, have accountability partners, set your clothes out the night before, and get the sleep you need as much as you can. Do what you must to keep up the fit work. There are many people that you might not know that are pulling for you. They see you in the gym pushing your limits every workout. They see your gains when you are unable to see them. They are the people that speak in passing, the trainers on site, and the people working out that have the same goals as you…to be fit in 2020. You are not alone, and you owe it to yourself to push through your challenges to make it to March by taking it one day at a time. Before you know it you’ll at the close of the year looking at on the progress you’ve made physically, mentally and spiritually by sticking to your journey.

Leave the Fight Outside the Gym.

You never know whose mental health you are sparing by handing your issues outside of the workout space. If someone makes your workout space feel toxic due to loud aggressive conversations, uncomfortable confrontations, or violent behavior please report it. You deserve to have a workout space that is fair to, and safe for, you. Remember though we focus on the physical aspect of the fitness journey in the gym…there is a mental component that is just as important. We want to work on health holistically.

The Energy Drink Crash.

Grabbing an energy drink at every turn is convenient…it’s quick. It allows us to think we are helping ourselves keep moving so that we can remain as productive as possible. However, not even out time in the gym can truly help when energy drinks are being consumed like water around the clock. Consider lowering your consumption of energy drinks so that your body can naturally produce the energy you need. You will kind that you are more alert, focused, and productive.

Some Wait for Winter to Get Their Body Right.

Lets be Real About Weight Loss.

As you prepare to embark upon weight loss to better your health, and value of life remember to be real with yourself. Try not to get angry when the scale doesn’t move and your diet has been horrible, you aren’t getting enough activity, or you just started on this path. Patience and consistency will render you results. Health and fitness is a way of life not a diet or insane short term workout routine.

Working Out with my Spouse Use to be Hard.

I’ve learned to value his knowledge and support while on my fitness journey. Once I got past my insecurity working our with my spouse/trainer became a wonderful experience that allowed us to work on becoming healthier for self, each other and our family together.
